Family doctor

I, Oleksiy Izhovskyy, graduated from Uzhhorod National Institute in Ukraine in 2002 with a degree in medicine.

2004. I completed my surgical internship.
2006. I completed my clinical residency in surgery at the O. O. Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology (Ukraine).
2009. I completed my postgraduate studies by defending my candidate’s dissertation on the topic: “Surgery of Non-Parasitic Liver Cysts.”
From 2010, I worked in the Department of Pediatric Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (Ukraine).
From 2011, I worked as a researcher, and from 2017, as a senior researcher in the Department of Pediatric Oncology.
In 2011, I completed my specialization in pediatric oncology, and in 2014, in pediatric surgery.
August 2019 – I moved to Estonia with my family.
August 3, 2020 – November 31, 2020 – Clinical practice at PERH.
December 1, 2020 – I passed the general practitioner equivalency exam in the field of medical sciences at the University of Tartu.
December 25, 2020 – August 7, 2021 – I worked in the ER at Ida-Viru Central Hospital.
September 31, 2025 – will have successfully completed specialized training in family medicine and will be certified as a family doctor (family medicine residency from September 1, 2021 – September 31, 2025).
